DESCRIPTION:The PA Hub is pleased to announce their first Business and Venue Showcase at Horizon Leeds; a special evening designed for assistants to meet the venues. This will be an opportunity for local venues and businesses to exhibit to PAs face to face – all under one roof. \nWe will have 35 venues for you to browse around with lots of competitions and the chance to book appointments to visit the venues at a later date if you wish. There will be a chance to win lots of different prizes from our various exhibitors and we have a fantastic inspirational speaker Samantha Toolsie who tells a fascinating story about how she became the experienced photographer she is today. Working with corporates to social enterprises she talks of how priorities change as we step through life and on a practical note will be including information on how to get the best out of your event photographer. \nThere will be lots of surprises on the night and the event is free for assistants to attend. If you are a PA\, EA\, VA or secretary and you book events then this will be a really useful and entertaining evening. \nThere will be welcome cocktails from The Botanist and canapés from Box Tree Events.

DESCRIPTION:The event will start with informal networking where you can meet other assistants with a welcome drink and canapés. Our networking is easy-going and friendly and you will not be left standing on your own!  This is a forum to meet other peers from your profession in a relaxed atmosphere.   \nTonight will be a celebration for The PA Hub’s 2nd Birthday! \nThe PA Hub Members’ have asked for a Mentor Scheme for our network in Leeds and we thought this would be a great way to start the year.  We will do a shorter networking session than usual and have registration\, a welcome drink and canapes from 6pm – 6.15pm and then there will be a brief overview from Marion Lowrence about Mentoring followed by some of her mentees saying a few words each on the benefits to them and we can have a audience/panel discussion.  Andy McMenemy is mentor to Marion and Jon and he will also be speaking about the benefits of mentoring. This is a great opportunity to get a mentor scheme up and running for the group. Mentoring is a great way to develop and learn in a way that is for your own personal development in a safe environment.  There are so many talented PAs in our group with amazing expertise.  Between everyone in the group there is knowledge beyond belief and therefore let’s start to use it.  PA power! \nWe will then have show rounds (optional) and have some more networking and celebrate The PA Hub’s 2nd birthday.
